What is Marzban and Remnawave (VPN panels)

What it is

Control panels for a VPN service: users, subscriptions, traffic limits, entry nodes. The client gets one subscription link, and the panel serves it the current settings.

How we use it

Our VPN services run on them: the sales bot creates a user in the panel, and the OshaVPN client reads the subscription and picks a live entry point itself.

Where it helps a business

  • You sell a VPN by subscription, and users, terms and traffic must not be managed by hand.
  • A customer should get one subscription link, and the panel should hand them current entry points.
  • An administrator does not want to open the panel for every renewal.

How we use it

  • The bot as the till. Tech Poly VPN drives Marzban through its REST API: it creates and renews users while keeping money, terms, discounts and reports itself. In the user's note field in the panel the bot writes @username, so the administrator sees people rather than identifiers.
  • Trial access. The subscription-sales bot, given an invite code, creates a user_ plus Telegram ID user itself, with one online device and no traffic limit; a renewal counts from the current end date.
  • A node with a panel. On the VPN route the subscription panel is proxied through the entry node, the admin listens on a separate port, and the standalone Netherlands node keeps its own panel, database and keys.
  • The client. OshaVPN reads Marzban and Remnawave subscriptions and refreshes them at launch and hourly.

Common problems

  • Two end dates. The term is stored both in the bot's database and in Marzban, which actually cuts traffic. Writes go one way: the panel returns the actual date first, and only that date is saved by the bot.
  • The panel did not answer after payment. The request goes back to pending and the discount is not burned, so the customer is not left with a payment and no key.
  • Backing up the panel database. Automatic backup of the Marzban database is still on the route's roadmap.

When you do not need it

A team's private WireGuard network needs no subscription panel or billing. A panel is needed when the VPN is a service with customers and payments.
